Man stabbed in U-District parking lot dies

SEATTLE — A man in his early 20s died from his injuries early Sunday morning after he was stabbed in the University District, police said.

According to police, officers responded to the 4700 block of University Way Northeast before 11 p.m. Saturday to a report of an unknown disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound in the torso. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center, but died early Sunday morning from his injuries.

Authorities said the stabbing happened in  the parking lot of the Jack in the Box.

The events prior to the stabbing are unknown and are under investigation.

Police described the suspect as a tall, thin, black man.
