Man stabbed in Federal Way park

Deputies are searching the wooded area of a Federal Way park for an assailant after a man was stabbed Thursday morning.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in Camelot Park at 29400 45th Place South.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a 22-year-old man called 911 to report he had been stabbed and the attacker had run off into the wooded area of the park.

Federal Way police helped King County deputies search the area and created a perimeter.

The King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, Guardian 1, was called in to help with the search.

As a precaution, Thomas Jefferson High School and Camelot Elementary School were placed in a lockdown.

The victim was uncooperative and refused to identify his attacker to authorities.

Moments later, the man changed his story and said he fell on his own knife.

Deputies are still searching the park for the unknown assailant.
