Man stabbed to death in QFC parking lot in Edmonds

EDMONDS, Wash. — Two people were arrested Friday morning in a fatal stabbing outside an Edmonds grocery store.

Police were called to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of a QFC at 2828 100th Ave. W. at 6 a.m.

Edmonds police spokesman Jim Lawless said while officers were on the way to the scene, they were provided with a description of a vehicle seen leaving the area that may have been associated with the incident.

The first officers who arrived at the QFC found a man who appeared to have been stabbed who later died at the scene.

Another officer who had been on the way to the QFC found the described vehicle at 15th Avenue West and Eighth Place in Edmonds.

A man and woman inside the car appeared to have been involved in an altercation, according to officers.

Both were taken into custody.  The man was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
