Man stabbed in back in Pioneer Square

SEATTLE — Police are looking for an attacker who stabbed a man in the back in Pioneer Square Thursday night.

Police were called to the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South at 8:40 p.m. after two men in their 30s who knew each other, got into a fight on the street.

During the fight, one man pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man in the back and then fled.

The attacker was gone when officers arrived and they were unable to find him.

Fire department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The attacker is described as black, in his 30s, with a stocky build.  He was last seen wearing a dark wool cap, black jacket and green or blue pants.

Anyone with information about the incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or Seattle police.
