AUBURN, Wash. - Police said a man either jumped or was thrown out of an Auburn hotel room window after he was shot.
Investigators were called to a domestic disturbance early Tuesday at the Days Inn on D Street.
Police said the victim was shot after he entered a room and met with two men and a woman shortly at 12:40 a.m. A fight broke out immediately and he was shot in the stomach.
After he jumped or was thrown out the room’s window, the victim went to the hotel lobby for help.
Police and medics arrived and he was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators said the people who had been in the hotel were gone when police arrived, but they are working to identify them.
Detectives will search the room after obtaining a warrant.
