Man seriously injured in Edmonds officer-involved shooting

EDMONDS, Wash. - Detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Edmonds that left a man seriously injured Saturday morning.

The incident happened at about 7:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Puget Drive.

According to police, multiple 911 calls reported that a man was walking in the area with a rifle. 

Police responded to the location and found the man. After officers confronted the man, shots were then fired. 

The 27-year-old man was shot and seriously injured. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center and his condition is unknown.

Police said two Edmonds officers were placed on administrative leave. 

The Snohomish County Multi-Agency Response Team will investigate the shooting.
