Man with knife robs Mukilteo tanning salon

The woman now faces charges after alleged threats.

MUKILTEO, Wash. - Police said a man brandishing a knife held up a Mukilteo tanning salon and fled with cash Tuesday night.

The store clerk said that at 10:02 p.m., a man came into the businesses, brandished a black folding knife with a six-inch blade and demanded money from the register.

He then ran south from the salon.

A K-9 unit and officers from Mukilteo, Edmonds and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office searched for the robber, but he was not found.

The robber was described as a younger white man who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build.  He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.  The hood of the sweatshirt was pulled up over the man’s head and the drawstring was cinched tightly so that most of his face was covered.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Mukilteo Police Department at 425-263-8100.
