Man killed in Sumner drive-by shooting


SUMNER, Wash. - A 23-year-old man was found dead inside of a Sumner motel early Sunday morning after a drive-by shooting, police said.


According to police, shots were fired at the Sumner Motor Inn in the 15400 block of Main Street after 12:30 a.m.


When officers arrived to the location, they found a man dead at the scene with apparent gunshot injuries.


Three other men were found with gunshot wounds at the motel, and were taken to Tacoma General Hospital.


One had a gunshot wound to his leg and the other had one to his arm and abdomen. The two men are in stable condition. The other man had a gunshot wound to his abdomen and had to go into surgery. His condition is unknown at this time.


Police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the men were in the parking lot when a car pulled up and started shooting.


Police will continue to investigate the shooting.
