Man killed in SR 512 collision

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A 54-year-old man died Saturday afternoon in a Parkland collision, said the Washington State Patrol.

The crash happened on State Route 512 east of Seventh Avenue Southeast at 12:08 p.m.

According to the State Patrol, the driver was traveling westbound when he left the roadway and struck a tree.

The vehicle landed on its top when it came to rest.

The man died at the scene.

Troopers said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
