Man hurt in fall from Gas Works Park structure

SEATTLE — A 19-year-old man was seriously injured early Friday morning after he fell from a structure at Gas Works Park, police said.

The incident happened in the 2100 block of North Northlake Way around 5:30 a.m.

According to police, crews responded to Gas Works Park for a report of an accidental fall with life-threatening injuries.

Police said two men climbed a fence and atop the structure inside the park. One man fell about 30 feet.

The man fell through a gap in the grating to the ground.

Crews did CPR on the man and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
