• Man in custody after high-speed chase in Issaquah


    ISSAQUAH, Wash. - A man has been taken into custody after he led deputies on a high-speed chase east of Issaquah, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.


    Officers started pursuing the man near Auburn after 12 p.m.


    The Sheriff's Office told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the chase reached to speeds close to 100 mph.


    The pursuit ended when the man reached Tiger Mountain on Highway 18 at Milepost 27. He got out of his vehicle and ran into the woods.


    Deputies searched for the man, and Guardian One, a helicopter with the King County Sheriff's Office, was launched.


    Deputies found him and he was taken into custody. Chopper 7 video showed deputies escorting him to a patrol car.


    Highway 18 was shut down eastbound and westbound as officers searched the area, but reopened after the incident.
