Man attacks stranger for burrito

SEATTLE — A man eating a burrito on a Capitol Hill street was punched in the head when he declined to give a stranger a bite of his food.

Seattle police said that at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the victim was sitting outside a restaurant on Broadway and East Pine Street eating a burrito when he was approached by a stranger.

"Give me a bite of your burrito," the man demanded.

When the victim told the man he was being rude, the other man shoved him and again demanded a bite of the burrito.  Police said when the victim stood up, the other man punched him in the head and ran.

Police received several calls about the incident.  Officers arrived in time to find the attacker climbing onto a bus at Broadway and East Pine Street.

Officers arrested the 24-year-old man, who police said also matched the description of a man who had just stolen liquor from a nearby store.

He was booked into the King County Jail.
