Logging truck tips over, spills load on I-405

KIRKLAND, Wash. — A logging truck tipped over Wednesday morning on a ramp on Interstate 405, and has blocked lanes, said officials with the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The incident happened on northbound I-405 at Northeast 160th Street near Kirkland after 10  a.m.

According to officials, the truck’s load spilled onto the ramp and pushed a barrier.

According to the Kirkland Fire Department, there were two minor injuries.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area as the backup stretched to more than two miles.

The Washington State Patrol is at the scene to investigate the incident and crews are cleaning up the scene.
