Woman killed in crash on West Valley Highway

TUKWILA, Wash. — A woman was killed on West Valley Highway in Tukwila when the truck she was in was T-boned.

The southbound lanes were shut down for hours but reopened shortly before 5 a.m. Friday.

The woman who was hit was turning left onto South 180th Street. The pickup that hit her was going straight through the intersection heading southbound when it struck the woman’s pickup.

A 64-year-old woman from Burien died at the scene.

The driver of the other pickup is a 26-year-old man from Utah. He was taken into custody. Police say alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
