In Everett, a tree damaged a home on Cypress Street in Everett. The owner told KIRO 7 he was sleeping when the tree came down at about 4:30 a.m.

"It sounded like a freight train hit my house," said homeowner Dale Carey.

No one was hurt.

In Port Orchard, traffic is being diverted at Harper Hill Road Southeast because of trees across Sedgwick Road.  Drivers are advised to use caution when approaching and departing the ferry terminal.

Fallen trees are also blocking all lanes of SR 9 near Arlington, just north of Finn Settlement Road.

A Wind Advisory was in effect for the Puget Sound region and Washington coast until 10 a.m. Friday, with sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph coming from the southwest with gusts of up to 45 mph.

But as of about 6:15 a.m., it was canceled except for Everett and western Snohomish County.

Earlier Friday, sustained winds in Seattle were 20 mph, Everett 30 mph, 23 mph for Shelton, 13 mph for Tacoma and 24 mph for Hoquiam.

Most of the power outages are in Kitsap County in Poulsbo and Bremerton. About 4,000 people were without power as of 5 a.m. but they were down to about 2,000 as of 6:30 a.m.

The Hood Canal Bridge closed due to high winds at 3:50 a.m. Friday. It reopened at about 6:30 a.m.

On the I-90 Bridge, winds peaked at 40 mph at about 3:30 a.m.

Temperatures are generally in the mid to upper 40s with a few showers.   We’ll watch for a convergence zone between Seattle and Everett producing more persistent rain there later today.  Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Snow levels are around 4,000 feet in the mountains today with 2 to 6” of snow expected.  An Avalanche Warning is in effect for both the Olympics and Cascades.

Most of us will get a break from the rain overnight, but another round will likely move in mid morning on Saturday with showers at times Sunday.
