Wilson about offensive line: 'I think we can all be better. It's not just those guys'

The Seahawks are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for Sunday's home opener against the 49ers.

And as Seattle gets ready to tackle the 49ers in its home opener on Sunday, Sept. 17, the Seahawks know they could have their hands full with Carlos Hyde, who returns as San Francisco's lead running back.

"I feel like we just got to wrap him up and find him, which I feel like over the course of the season we started doing a better job of last year and this year, we are doing a good job,” Bobby Wagner, a Seahawks linebacker, said. “I think we just have to find him and be aware of where they like to get him out."

"He is a fantastic player. He really is,” Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said. “He plays with a great attitude. He is tough. He is elusive. He can do everything. He will block when he needs to and as you said, he can catch and run. He is a very, very well-rounded football player.”

The Seahawks have also been watching film of 49ers quarterback Brian Hoyer.

"They're going to have some shots down the field, but I think it is just going to test us being able to recognize the routes and rallying to everything that is in front of us, and try to minimize all the yards after catches," said Wagner.

And after what happened to Seattle in the season opener at Green Bay, quarterback Russell Wilson fielded a few questions about the Seahawks offensive line.

"I think we can all be better. It's not just those guys; I'm the biggest critic of myself, I think that there's a couple of throws in there that I could hit and find a way to make those throws,” said Wilson. “I think winners find a way to win, and so for me personally, that’s how I as a competitor, no matter what the circumstances are, you have to still find a way to win.”
