LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — Officers with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police helped remove an arrow that was stuck in a buck in Leavenworth.
Officials said two officers found the buck lying in the brush with a full-length arrow stuck in its neck.
"With the buck laying near the fire station, the Officers were able to get some volunteers to keep the buck from heading towards the street while they immobilized it," officials said in a news release.
Officers said when they removed the arrow they noticed it had a field/target point on it.
Once the arrow was removed, officers said the buck instantly started feeding again.
Officers said they contacted neighbors in the area to help try and identify a possible suspect.
