Firefighters worried about building collapse after Sedro-Woolley fire

Firefighters are worried about a building collapse after a huge fire in downtown Sedro-Woolley on Monday morning.

Smartphone video showed thick smoke billowing from the three-story historic building, where a video store operated.

In video obtained by Breaking Skagit, firefighters examined the scene and someone said to a dispatcher that the building was connected to a block.

It appears that the fire did not spread, but it took nearly an hour for firefighters to extinguish the flames.

Crews continue to work hot spots, and the cause is under investigation. The building may not be salvageable.
