Video shows small town pharmacy being robbed at gunpoint

SULTAN, Wash. — The employees inside Sultan Pharmacy were essentially taken hostage for a minute while two armed men stormed in demanded “all the oxy.”

Owner Greg Hovander said they burst in about a week ago with only a few minutes before closing time.

One robber in darker clothing and ski mask held a gun on the pharmacy worker seated at the front desk.  The other in a grey hoodie and white mask demanded another employee point out all the Oxycodone or opioid-based products.

“Didn't know if we could be blown away at any moment, or how paranoid they were if they were on drugs or not,” Hovander said.

He has owned and operated the small town pharmacy for 22 years.  This has never happened at his location before.  Hovander believes the thieves are pros, and have robbed other stores or homes.  He also thinks their clothing and disguises are new, so wants retailers who recognize the clothing to contact the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Once the thieves got what they came for, they ran out the door.  Snohomish County Sheriff's Detectives say a different surveillance camera captured what's believed to be a getaway vehicle.  It is a silver, early 2000s Audi with a hard top sunroof.  The car had no plates.
