The Edmonds Police Department asked drivers to avoid some streets on Monday as several feet of standing water collected on roadways.
Manhole covers were unsecured and floating on 220th Street and Highway 99, near the Winco. Additionally, police reported several feet of standing water at 216th and Highway 99.
Cars stalled on the streets.

The water drained away around 3 p.m. Police still remind that people driving should still be cautious.

KIRO 7 News meteorologist Morgan Palmer says the heavy rain has moved east of Edmonds, though re-development could occur later on in the day.
