Two pedestrians died early Sunday morning after being hit by a drunken driver on State Route 20. Washington State Patrol identified the victims as Sedro-Woolley residents Wayne Gunsolley, 64, and Patricia Gunsolley, 67.
The driver was identified as 30-year-old Trina M. Junkert, who was arrested on charges of a DUI and vehicular homicide. Neither she nor the two passengers in her car were injured.
Junkert was headed eastbound on State Route 20 at Rhodes Road shortly after 1 a.m. when she struck the Gunsolleys, whose car was parked in the right exit lane. The couple was standing outside of their car when they were hit.
