Tukwila police looking for suspect after man shot in road rage incident

TUKWILA, Wash. — Tukwila police say a Burien man in his 40s was shot in the arm while driving on I-405 southbound Thursday afternoon. Detectives believe it was an incident of road rage, and they’re still looking for the suspect.

The police department says Major Crime Unit (MCU) detectives believe the suspect vehicle is a gray or silver 1995 or 1996 model four-door Toyota Camry, with lightly-tinted windows.

“The suspect is described as a thin, younger, light skinned black male with shoulder length dark hair that was wearing a tan colored t-shirt,” the police department posted on Facebook.

The incident happened around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.

According to police, the victim said he was driving in one lane and the suspect’s vehicle was in another when the suspect started honking at him.

Then, the suspect’s car pulled up next to the victim's, the driver pulled out a gun and shot the victim through the victim’s driver-side window, police said.

The victim told police he believes the incident had something to do with him with switching lanes.

Washington State Patrol stopped a car in Fife matching the suspect’s car description, but detectives ruled out that driver as the suspect.
