Police are looking for a yellow Corvette involving with a hit and run Sunday, March 12, on Interstate 405.

Shortly after 7 p.m., a motorcyclist was hit by the car on southbound I-405 just south of state route 167, State Patrol troopers said.

“According to witnesses, the fleeing vehicle was a yellow Corvette that drifted from lane 4 to lane 3, traveling at a high rate of speed,” Trooper Rick Johnson said. “The Corvette struck the motorcycle causing the rider to be ejected and sustain two broken legs. Due to the nature of the injuries and fleeing the scene, the driver is being sought for felony hit and run.”

Detectives used debris at the scene to determine the car was a 2006-2013 Corvette C6. There was a hole in the fiberglass above the right front wheel well and damage to the passenger side mirror, Johnson said.
