TRAFFIC UPDATE: All lanes of 1-5 reopened at NE 145th St

UPDATE: All lanes reopened shortly before 11 a.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: All lanes of Interstate 5 are blocked – northbound and southbound – after a rollover crash and power lines down on the roadway.

There is not an estimated reopening time.

The incident started in the 8:23 a.m., and brought crews from Seattle and Shoreline. Northeast 145^th Street is the border for both cities.

Firefighters described it as a massive heavy rescue response and said one person was initially trapped, but that person was removed.

It was not immediately clear what led to the crash or how many total vehicles were involved. The State Patrol asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.
