BURIEN, Wash. — Several people were hurt Thursday night after a crash involving a Metro bus and a pickup truck in Burien.
Before 6:30 p.m., crews responded to a report of a crash at South 128th Street at the on-ramp to southbound State Route 509.
Investigators said a bus and a pickup truck hit a power pole.
Witnesses told police the driver of the pickup was speeding and ran a red light.
None of the ten passengers on the bus were seriously injured.
Deputies said driver of the pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Early Friday morning, the onramp remained closed and the light was out at the intersection while crews worked to fix the power pole.
