Suspect in custody after car crashes into Shoreline church

SHORELINE, Wash. — A suspect is in custody after a vehicle crashed into a Shoreline church Monday evening.

The crash happened at the Richmond Beach Congressional Church in the 1500 block of Northwest 195^th Street at about 7:30 p.m.

Deputies said the suspect fled on foot after the crash.

He was later arrested not far from the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials said the building is stable.
