State troopers said they took a man into custody after he led them on a high-speed chase near Nisqually.
Troopers tried to stop the driver for speeding, but he sped off, at times driving on the shoulder at high speeds.
Troopers decided to end the chase for safety concerns. Eventually, the fleeing driver hit another car in what the State Patrol said was a low-speed head-on collision. No one was hurt.
The suspect then ran into the woods.
One vehicle ended up on its side. The second went off the road into trees and brush at State Route 510 and Muck Creek.
Troopers later found the man, who has multiple felonies.
