Sunny and warm weather ahead

SEATTLE — We're off to a clear and mainly calm start with temps in the 30s and 40s.  Outside of a little patchy fog south, we'll be mainly clear.

A ridge of high pressure builds across the area Monday through Thursday, we will have the warmest days of the year.  With plenty of sunshine and offshore flow, we'll have highs in the upper 60s in Seattle Monday, low 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday and mid-to-upper 70s on Thursday.  There is a chance for Seattle and spots south getting to 80 degrees on Thursday, which would be near record highs.

By Friday, we'll see more clouds and eventually even a few showers, so temps will cool off. Into the weekend I expect more normal weather for this time of year with spotty showers and temps in the upper-50s.
