South Kitsap HS students sent home after bomb threat

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — South Kitsap High School was evacuated Monday morning and the students were sent home after the school received a bomb threat.

The school district said that as a precaution, students were later sent home via bus or their own vehicles.

No one was hurt.

After school activities are cancelled Monday.

District officials said that they are working with police to ensure the building is safe before students return to class on Tuesday.

According to the Kitsap Daily News, the threat is the second since Nov. 16, when the school was locked down after administrators said they received "a threat to staff and student safety."
