Sheriff's Office: Teen accidentally shot in the arm near Mill Creek

MILL CREEK, Wash. — A teen boy has minor injuries after he was shot in the arm Friday afternoon near Mill Creek, said officials with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton told KIRO 7 four teen boys had been playing with a gun that belonged to one of their,parents when the gun accidentally discharged and hit one of the teens in the arm.

The teen’s injury is not serious.

Authorities said the teen with the gun fled the scene on foot.

Ireton told KIRO 7 that there is no crime in this incident and the Sheriff’s Office is confident the boy who took off will be found shortly.
