SEATTLE — A semi rollover collision on the I-5 express lanes in Seattle killed one person and injured another Thursday night.
The collision happened just after 10:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes at the Mercer Street onramp. The crash was cleared and the express lanes reopened around 7 a.m. on Friday.

Troopers said the driver died and the semi was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

One person was struck by flying debris from the crash, said Seattle fire officials. The person was taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.
Authorities tell KIRO 7 it is unknown if the crash was weather related.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
