Seattle's free summer meal program for young people starts June 28

SEATTLE — Thousands of Seattle children ages 1 through 18 can take advantage of free breakfasts, lunches, and snacks this summer through the Seattle Human Services Department's Summer Food Service Program.

From June 28 through August 25, 2017 free meals will be served at about 100 sites across Seattle.

The program will be open to children at designated community centers, Seattle park playgrounds, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs and YWCAs, and other sites throughout Seattle and parts of King County.

The majority of sites, about 70, will be open to the public and all children 18 and under can come to have a meal.
