SEATTLE — UPDATE: Around 3:40 p.m., Seattle Police said Douglas Melum was found safe and thanked those who helped look for him.

Officers with the Seattle Police Department are asking for the public's help in finding a missing man.
Police said Douglas Melum, 67, was last seen leaving Harborview Medical Center on Monday.
Melum is described by police as 6 feet, 1 inch tall 175 pounds with glasses.
Police said Melum was last seen wearing an army-green jacket, red flannel shirt, jeans and was carrying a black-and-yellow shopping bag.
Anyone with information on Melum's location is asked to call 911.
