Seattle police investigating fatal shooting in Central District

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Tuesday night near East Spruce Street and 24th Avenue in Seattle’s Central District.

Police were called to the area at 11:23 p.m. after residents heard gunfire.

Officers arrived and found Seattle fire personnel performing CPR on a 45-year-old man who had gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene.

There is no suspect information at this time.
