BELLEVUE, Wash. — Seattle Humane workers delivered nine puppies this week after performing an emergency cesarean section on their mom.

Shelter workers at the Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue rushed to the mother’s side Thursday after she started having trouble while trying to give birth.

The mom and her nine pups are doing fine, the Seattle Humane Center said on its Facebook.

The mother, named Daring, is a blue heeler/American pit bull terrier mix.

Shelter staffs says that once the puppies are weaned, both the mom and the babies will be spayed and neutered.

The mother and her pups are expected to be put up for adoption in about eight weeks.
