SEATTLE — Seattle Seahawks linebacker Cassius Marsh will be playing in a Magic: The Gathering tournament at MOX Boarding House in Bellevue.
The tournament will be held Friday, Dec. 30. Round 1 starts at 6 p.m., according to the event website. Read all details here.
Marsh, along with playing in the tournament, will be signing autographs in the store from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m.
Marsh was recently in the news after his prized Magic card collection was stolen when someone broke into his car.
His girlfriend was inside a Seattle nightclub and his Landrover was parked outside. Inside the vehicle was his backpack, filled with his Magic collection.
"Other than God, family and football, my Magic card collection is everything," Marsh tweeted.
Magic: The Gathering is a trading card-based game with an intense, passionate following. It’s produced by Northwest company Wizards of the Coast. It was first released in 1993 and has since grown to approximately 20 million players worldwide.
Marsh, 24, was drafted out of UCLA in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He offered two home game Seahawks tickets to the person who can return his Magic card collection.
“…if you are 12 please return it and I will give you two tickets to next home game,” he tweeted.
