Nobody is taking Marshawn Lynch's jersey in Seattle, even if Beast Mode is still on the path to retirement, CBS Sports writes.
When the NFL Draft wrapped on Saturday, Baldwin publicly asked Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll to make sure Lynch's No. 24 remained unassigned.

We are thrilled with the new teammates. One condition. Nobody wears #24 for years to come.
Sincerely,

On Monday, Seahawks general manager John Schneider made it clear that Lynch's number would remain untouched.
"One of my last conversations with Marshawn was that nobody was going to wear No. 24 this year in the regular season," Schneider said during an appearance on 710 ESPN Seattle.
But Schneider says the team has not received retirement paperwork for running back Marshawn Lynch.
After the conclusion of the draft Saturday, Schneider said the paperwork has not been filed with the league, but the Seahawks are prepared from a salary cap standpoint whether Lynch's retirement becomes official before or after June 1.
Coach Pete Carroll reiterated that Lynch is retired and not planning to play this year: "He's committed to being retired."
