Renton officers recover stolen custom bike belonging to quadriplegic teen

RENTON, Wash. — Renton police officers worked together to help recover a stolen custom-fitted bike belonging to a 15-year-old quadriplegic on Wednesday.

The 15-year-old victim and his mom reported that the bike had been stolen from the 100 block of Burnett Avenue South.

In a Facebook post, Renton police said an officer put the information out to all officers who were on duty.

After the call, another officer received information about where the bike was and who the suspect was.

Police said the bike had been located. During the time of the post, police said they will be arresting the suspect soon.

A third officer transported the bike back to the family and purchased a bike lock for them.
