Registered sex offender arrested after exposing himself at Beacon Hill golf course, near day care

Seattle police arrested a registered sex offender Friday after the 49-year-old man exposed himself at a Beacon Hill golf course and in front of a day care facility, according to a blotter post.

Police received a report at about 10:30 a.m. about a man masturbating in front of a child care facility on Beacon Avenue South. Arriving officers recognized the man, who had "previously been combative with police," according to a blotter post.

An employee at the golf course told police they had asked the man to "put his genitals back in his pants," but the man refused and made inappropriate comments to the employee. The man was also seen harassing two women on the course.

Police officers began talking to the man, who continued to masturbate during the conversation. The man claimed his penis was out due to a medical condition and refused to go with the officers.

Police attempted to use a Taser on the man due to previous contact with him, but they were unsuccsessful and the man ran away. Officers took him into custody shortly after.

The man was booked into King County Jail for indecent exposure.
