Pregnant woman says man tried to rape her

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A pregnant woman says a man tried to rape her and then threatened to kill her earlier this week in Federal Way.

A 26-year-old woman was walking on a side street off Pacific Highway South early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the woman bumped into a man and the two had a brief conversation. The man then started following her.

A police report said the man shoved the woman into the bushes, down an embankment and attacked her.

The woman got away and ran across the highway screaming for help

According to police, the woman said the man grabbed her again and threatened to kill her.

Nearby a man, who pulled into a parking lot to fix his truck, heard her screams and called 911.

“Her eye was bleeding. Lacerations,” said the eyewitness, who was not identified. “I immediately grabbed the phone and called 911. Sat her down and told her she'd be okay until they showed up."

According to police, the suspect tried to hide in a nearby field but police found him.

Prosecutors charged the 18-year-old, Jacobson Brian, with second-degree attempted rape and felony harassment. His bail was set at $350,000.
