Police: Man crashes over embankment, through fence after huffing

23-year-old Brian Powless

PORT ANGELES, Wash. — Clallam County Deputies are looking for a man they say caused a crash after huffing fumes from an aerosol can.

It happened in a Port Angeles Safeway parking lot early Monday morning.

Investigators followed a trail of debris more than 500 feet long, over an embankment and through a fence.

The car was found abandoned in a field.

Deputies say two passengers, one with a broken wrist, later came forward and identified the driver as 23-year-old Brian Powless.

He's wanted on charges that include hit-and-run and vehicular assault.
