KENT, Wash. — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Kent Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened in the 6700 block South 228th Street, near the REI headquarters.
Police said a 20-year-old man was driving when a car pulled up next to him and fired shots at him.
The man has non-life-threatening injuries and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police are searching for a suspect.
Police said 228th between 84th and 64th is closed due to the investigation. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes.
