Police responded to a fatal collision Wednesday night involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood.
The incident happened at 15th Avenue West and West Wheeler Street just after 11 p.m.
According to detectives, the vehicle was traveling north on 15th Ave West when the victim stepped into the roadway and was struck by it.
"A Seattle Police drug recognition expert interviewed the 23-year-old driver and found no signs of impairment. The driver was interviewed and released from the scene pending further investigation," Seattle police said in a blotter post.
