Pierce County deputies track down man in attic wanted on several felony warrants

Deputies in Pierce County tracked down and arrested a man wanted on several felony warrants last Thursday. The man had previously been featured on Washington's Most Wanted.

The man had an active felony warrant for residential burglary, trafficking in stolen property, taking motor vehicle without permission, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and DUI.

He was tracked to a home on 99th Street East in the Midland area. Officers tried to get the man to come out but ended up sending a K-9 in to search for him.

The dog searched the garage, which had been converted to a bedroom, and deputies heard noises coming from the attic space. The suspect then broke through the ceiling, crashing into the bedroom while holding onto a truss.

The 27-year-old man was treated for a cut on his eyebrow and then booked into Pierce County Jail for his previous warrants and resisting arrest.
