Person inside home hit in Renton drive-by shooting

RENTON, Wash. — One person inside a Renton home was hit in a drive-by shooting late Monday night.

The shooting happened in the 5300 block of 53rd Place South off Talbot Road at 11:15 p.m.

Renton police said eight people were inside a home when 30 to 40 gunshots were fired from a car with at least two people inside.

One woman inside the house was shot. She was treated for a gunshot wound in her leg and released from the hospital.

When police left the scene, the gunmen returned to the house and fired more bullets just before 4 a.m.

The suspects have not been found.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from a neighbor’s house.

Two other houses were hit with bullets that went all the way through the homes.
