Pedestrian struck by train in Shoreline

A pedestrian was struck by a train on Monday afternoon in Shoreline, fire officials said.

The incident happened near Saltwater Park, which is in the Richmond Beach area.

Medics said the person was alert, but it is not yet known what the extent of their injures is.

The incident caused Sounder north line train #1702 to be canceled. Train #1706 was delayed but resumed service later.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
