Pedestrian struck by car in West Seattle

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car in West Seattle.

The crash occurred in the 4500 block of 42nd Avenue Southwest about 11 a.m. Monday.  A woman was hit by an elderly driver while she was standing next to her car.

Both directions of 42nd were closed while police investigated.

The roadway had fully reopened by 1:45 p.m.

The 30-year-old woman's injuries are non-life-threatening. She has been transported to the hospital.
