At least one person airlifted from 4-car crash in Gorst

At least one person has been airlifted after they were injured in a four-car crash on eastbound SR 16 in Gorst Wednesday morning.

GORST, Wash. — At least one person has been airlifted after a four-car crash on eastbound SR 16 in Gorst Wednesday morning.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The crash scene is in the 3800 block.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted around the scene through a business lot.  As of 7 a.m., the State Patrol said because of the large scene and serious injuries, the detour would be in place for more than two hours.

Westbound traffic is also very slow.

It is not known if anyone else was hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
