Oldest flyable Boeing airliner takes last flight

The world's oldest flyable Boeing airliner touched down to a final salute in Seattle.

When the model 247D was new, the United States was in the midst of the Great Depression and F-D-R was beginning his first year as president.

The 83-year-old aircraft flew down from the Museum of Flight's restoration center in Paine Field -- much to the considerable relief of the museum's senior curator.

The plane will now be placed at Seattle’s Museum of Flight.
