North Kitsap man in custody on suspicion of murder

A North Kitsap man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of murder, relating to the shooting of another man he knew that occurred Friday night. The 28-year-old man was taken into custody at 12:30 a.m. in Kingston.

Kitsap County sheriff's officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 7000 block of Northeast Tundra Way in Suquamish at around 9:50 p.m. Friday.

They arrived to find an unresponsive man inside a passenger vehicle who had sustained a gunshot wound. The Kitsap County Coroner's Office confirmed his identity as Trent Richard Snyder, 28.

Lifesaving efforts were administered until he was pronounced dead at the scene.
